Living with aches, pains and tension compromises our quality of life. It restricts our mobility and stands in the way of us doing what we want. Pilates is a gentle way to restore your balance, build your strength and improve mobility so you can move with ease again and live life to the full.

Your wellbeing in safe hands

The Oast is a multi-disciplinary wellness practice that delivers Pilates and yoga classes and hands-on treatment to help people manage pain, poor posture and recovery from injuries so they can feel physically able to enjoy life the way they deserve. We have clinics in both Sheppey and Sittingbourne.

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a gentle-paced exercise method designed to strengthen and restore the body to balance. Your Pilates teacher creates a comprehensive exercise programme for you based on their expert understanding of how the body works and how your muscular and skeletal systems are intertwined. Pilates is suitable for everyone – all ages and fitness levels. It is particularly beneficial for those with back pain, poor posture, sports injuries, arthritis, stress-related conditions and for pre and post natal care. Our teachers deliver group and private classes that focus specifically on you.

Pilates Inductions

Ahead of attending a Pilates class, you'll need to attend a Pilates inductions session.  During this session, your Pilates instructor will teach you all the basic moves and concepts including breathing alignment and muscle activation.  We offer 1:1 sessions where it's completely tailored to the individual or small group inductions.
